LocationThe Stewart Dispatch Centre is located at 205 - 5th Street in the city of Stewart. Work ForceThe Dispatch staff consists of the Secretary/Treasurer who is also the Dispatcher. The work force consists of four members and approximately fifty casuals. Work InformationOrders come from Prince Rupert and Vancouver. Work forecasts are displayed at the Union Hall. Labour OrdersEmployers place orders for labour requirements prior to established order/cancellation times by telephone and fax. Dispatch slips are prepared manually for all orders. Dispatch of LabourEmployees obtain their orders by telephone. All qualified Union employees are dispatched prior to Casuals. Work is assigned on an average hours basis.
