Dispatch StaffThe staff includes the Secretary/Treasurer/Dispatcher and three relief dispatchers who receive and process orders for the Prince Rupert area. Work InformationWork forecasts are obtained from the Port Corporation and provided to employees upon request. Labour OrdersEmployers place orders for labour requirements, by telephone and fax, prior to established order/cancellation times. Dispatch slips are prepared manually for all orders. Dispatch of LabourEmployees obtain their orders by telephone. All qualified Union employees are dispatched prior to Casuals. Work is assigned on a low hours basis.
