Information Services develops and supports business systems in cooperation with
the user community to address the business needs of the B.C.M.E.A. and the
W.E.B.C. On behalf of our stakeholders, Information Services has developed and
implemented computer systems that facilitate I.L.W.U. Labour Ordering and
Despatch and W.C.B. Claims submission and statistical reporting. Information
Services has also implemented a comprehensive HRIS suite of applications
designed to manage I.L.W.U. work-related personal, discipline, occupational
training, safety, payroll and benefits information.
Many of the systems currently in use are also being made available to the user
community via the World Wide Web. These web initiatives provide the industry
and it's stakeholders with timely information that facilitates improved data
access, quality and reliability.
The hardware required to support the applications and communications is
deployed and maintained by Information Services. This includes the appropriate
back up and disaster recovery.
